About Us

Supporting The Christian County Library

The Christian County Library Foundation was formed in March of 2013 with the original goal of “securing additional funding to support the Christian County Library in bringing full library services within ten miles of every resident in the county.” The foundation worked hard through fundraisers and networking towards this goal, and our community stepped up in a big way with monetary and tangible donations in the form of land, other valuable property, and grants to help make the dream a reality. The first ever library in Nixa opened its doors in May of 2018 and in August of that same year, the newly remodeled Ozark Branch reopened. We then worked towards building new libraries in Sparta and Clever. Our community continues to support the growth and expansion of library services throughout our county, and the Christian County Library Foundation is honored to play a role in facilitating the support of these goals.

These four very modern facilities have brought 95% of the county’s population within ten miles of full library services.
Today, the Christian County Library Foundation continues their mission but needs directors, volunteers and donations more than ever to help support and expand the always growing library system in our county. By working together, we can provide easy access to all of the library district’s vast resources for every county resident.
